Inspired by the grooves of rain collecting plants, polish students Ryszard Rychlicki and Agnieszka Nowak of H3AR received recognition for their proposal in the 2010 skyscraper challenge, designboom also did a full post on the details of their project here. The skyscraper, through a system of gutters, aims to collect as much rain water as possible in its naturally wet climate zone to offset the water needs of the inhabitants within.
